Dirleton & Abbey’s first Mission Statement (c.1993)

Abbey and Dirleton are a fellowship of believers who seek to make Christ central to all our activities, accepting that we often fail.

The Church meets wherever God’s people gather, both indoors and out, whether in church building, in homes, nursing homes, families, summer mission etc.

Our activities centre on worship, study, prayer, teaching, meeting, sharing, outreach – all with the aim to take Christ to others.

The churches have had what may best be described as Biblical ministries, with an emphasis on Biblical truth and commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
